Almost 1 month old

Almost a month old. I still won't sleep on my back or in my bassinet, I'm starting to become more alert, and I'm unfortunately sick with gas issues and diarrhea, but still darn cute!
I am a morning person. It's my happiest time of the day. Here's proof:

Quinn had her two week appointment on Tuesday. It was my first drive with her alone. She did very well and slept the whole way there and back. I think we might be using car rides to get this little baby to sleep. She pooped through two diapers while we were at the doctor's office and screamed when the doctor tried listening to her heart. Her vocal cords are definitely working just fine. She gained a pound since our last visit. She weighs 8lbs .5 oz and is now 20 3/4 inches long. The doctor commented on her strength and good head control. Maybe it is because she refuses to be on her back, so she is constantly bobbing her little head around. I wish there weren't all these rules due to SIDS. She would sleep so much better at night if she was on her belly.

Here she is winking for all the boys on Valentine's Day. She pooped through that outfit after just a few short hours of wearing it. *Note the mittens. We still can't get those little nails cut well enough. She loves to scratch her face.

Quinn loves to snuggle in her blankets and with mom and dad.

snuggling with mom....

She's Here!

Our little girl, Quinn Margaret Black, was born February 1st at 2:09p.m. She weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and was 19 inches long. I labored for about 12 hours and pushed for an hour and she wouldn't budge. First she was sunnyside up and we got her to flip right before pushing. Then she was just too big for my pelvis, so she wouldn't drop down. She has a nice cone head as a result. I had to have a c-section, but everything went smoothly. She has a lot of dark wavy hair. We aren't sure where that came from. She is doing really good and slept well throughout the night. We can't wait for her to meet all of our family and friends. We will post pictures soon!
