Summer Moments

This is what happens when you want to help daddy and mommy paint. She was so proud of herself when I caught her in action. It was everywhere! I gave her two baths and was still finding paint. Our fault for leaving it on the ladder. We forget she climbs!

Windows and baseboards built and beginning to paint. We are making progress. We need to invest in frog tape. It has been our savior.  Molly is inspecting our work or doing what she loves best...climbing. She is gonna give me gray hair.

Bowling with Claire. We had bumpers and she scored better than me. Hope the girls get Andy's athletic genes. Note Quinn's bowling shoes/boots.

Helping Maggie roll her ball and cheering her on.

I love this picture because it captures reality. Molly's shoe undone, Maggie's shoes on the wrong feet and Quinn in boots. Claire you get the prize!

Marcy and I ventured out with the kids for dinner while the boys golfed. We got some stares. Not sure if people felt bad for us, were annoyed, or enjoyed the chaos. We did it and even fed the fish by the lake afterwards and no one fell in. I say SUCCESS!

Those are my girls!

This was after the girls were whining and out of their seats and Hudson was getting fussy. I love
Marcy's face.

Smiles before the storm. Actually, I believe Marcy had to coax
Stella into smiling for that  picture.

Quinn's first sleepover with Stella. There were lots of giggles, dancing, and singing.

Quinn gave Stella a magnificent  do in the morning. Taking  pointers from her Mema. Stella also got a hold of the lip gloss. I had to take it away after she applied it maybe 20 times by 6 am. She got it taken away at home so she couldn't get enough at our house.  :)

Dressing up. I guess the winter mittens were their princess waving gloves. I think this was at about 7 am. They had already been in the swing set, watched some tv, played restaurant, and dollies. Stella's mom came at 9 and she fell asleep on the way home. They
wore each other out.

Quinn at summer reading club. Wearing her tap shoes that are a size too small. Wish I had taken a video when she was tapping to the songs. She cracks me up.

First real bike. She is becoming a pro in the driveway but venturing
out on the street has been interesting. She wanted to walk
after two houses.

Dinner with Nate and Genevieve. Look at those chubs.

Loving her quesadillas.

Quinn Maggie and Claire playing.  Quinn is wearing her favorite
"zucchini" handed down from her cousin. She would live in that thing if she could.

Molly's new swing. She loves it and will try to count and then says "weeee"
She's the happiest baby on the block.

Making burgers on her grill.

Quinn was being such a good big sister holding her hand and carrying her coat. These moments don't happen often just yet. Maybe we are turning a corner. Crossing my fingers.

                    * Blurry phone pictures. I need to get back to using my real camera again.

Happy 4th Quinn and her self created flag with a stick for the pole and chose to draw a flower instead of stars because it was "cuter"

Molly is such a little dog lover.

Quinn leaving for her trip to Cass Lake with Nana and Poppy.

Had to pose outside the restaurant before her departure.

Looking a little nervous but she was actually feeling pretty excited about leaving and using her DVD player and headphones. She was "too cool" to even give Daddy a hug.

Maniac Baby-Tales of the second born

She was strapped in and I have no idea how she got into the standing position. I don't ever leave her alone, because she can't be trusted. My only saving grace is her crib or the bouncy, which I'm sure she will discover escape routes soon!

Excited about this gate... not for long!
