Fall Farm Festival

We went to a local farm festival this weekend with our friends Tim and Sara and their little boy Henry. Quinn liked watching the sheep herding, getting close (not too close) to the animals, especially the sleeping goat. She enjoyed exploring in the museum with Henry. Her favorite was the ride on the tractor train. She liked waving and screaming "hi" to all the people we passed. Check out some of the pictures from our day. Notice the little baby she has in hand. This $2 baby from Target was the best purchase EVER. She loves carrying her everywhere.

19 months old

Stats: She has grown this month but won't sit still to measure or weigh. She still has a petite frame and mini feet (size 41/2-5) Notice all the teeth in the picture above. She has 16 total. Teething has been difficult for her. Her canine teeth have been taking forever to fully come in and she is chewing on everything.
Favorites: Caring for her baby dolls (bathing, feeding, changing, rocking, and hugging and kissing them), hugging Hayley, ring around the rosie (she likes to involve Hayley, her dolls, and anyone else to participate), singing (she sings to herself while she plays and her favorites are itsy bitsy spider, ABCs, and Ba Ba Black Sheep). She loves her grandparents and talks about all of them frequently. I catch her using her play phone and having a pretend conversation them. It is so cute to watch her imagination growing. She loves playing airplane and walking on Daddy's feet.
Words: I can't even keep track anymore. Her vocabulary has expanded so much and she is trying to use short sentences. She enjoys telling us to sit and says "hand, hand" when she wants to hold hands. A favorite phrase is "where are you mommy/daddy"

Daycare:She has adjusted back into a routine at daycare. The transition couldn't have gone smoother. She is having no problem with naps or sleep at night. She is worn out by the time I pick her up each day. She has also started sleeping on a cot at daycare and when she wakes up she still lays there until it is time to get up. Quite a change from the jumping and screaming chick we were dealing with each bedtime in July. She loves her friends and daycare providers and has a lot to talk about on the way home each day. I think she has a crush on Logan. They are super cute together.
Bedtime: She still hates getting water in her eyes but overall loves her baths. She loves picking out books to read each night and it is nice family time. She gets a kick out of brushing her own teeth and attempting to brush ours too.She sings goodnight songs with us and likes to list people she wants to sing or pray for. We say the same prayer that I used to say as a child: Thank you God for this day today, thank you God for my friends that play, thank you God for the stars above, thank you God for the people I love. Amen. Then she tries to do the sign of the cross and folds her hands together.
She is at such a sweet and fun age. I feel like I say this each month but it is true. Everything is new and exciting and we can see growth and change each day. It is hard to believe that she is nearing 2 years old.

Visit with Liam

Here are some snapshots from our first visit with baby Liam. He was such a good little boy. He takes after his older brother, Seamus. Quinn had a blast playing with Layla and Liam and I enjoyed catching up with girlfriends.
