New House

Our new home...We are getting closer to having it move-in ready. 

We really, really hope we can get in before the holidays.  

Giving Thanks

We have a lot to be thankful for these days.  We just purchased a new home, which we hope to get moved into by Christmas.  It has a lot of work to be done, but we are so excited to have more space for our "growing" family.  For those of you who may not have heard, we are expecting Baby #2 May 29th! Quinn is so thrilled to be a sister.  I have been feeling horribly sick and have been on Zofran to help the nausea.  I am hoping that I will be feeling better and less tired soon, so I can be a better help at the new house.  Andy has been putting in some long hours there. He's definitely winning the husband of the year award.  Now we just need to figure out how to operate the snowblower we just borrowed from my parents. Coming from a townhome with no exterior work is a huge adjustment! 

We've also had my uncle over inspecting electrical work and he knocked out a half wall for us.  Andy's parents spent almost a week scrubbing down the place and pulling out carpet staples.  The previous owners were smokers so we have also had to use special primer on the walls to kill the smell.  I had my mom and brother and his girlfriend over cleaning and painting. Cousins and friends have been helping too.We are lucky to have such great family and friends.  We will post some pictures soon!

Is this baby ever coming?  Admitted to the hospital Monday night and now it is Wednesday afternoon. Due date September 23th and it's October 5th! Poor Ali.

Preschool!

Quinn had a preschool pool party on Wednesday. She was able to meet her new teachers. They served her ice cream which she thought was pretty cool. Her girlfriend, Stella, will also be attending school with her. This makes the transition so much easier. Every day she wakes up and asks if it is time for school yet. She will start next Monday. Since it is part of the park distict it has a gym class, children's museum, pool, music class, and parks available. I am worried she won't want to come home. :) Here are a couple videos of her talking about the party.

Family Reunion 2011

We had a great time at Andy's family reunion in Dubuqe, IA. It was so good to catch up and see everyone. Quinn always enjoys getting extra love and attention!She couldn't get enough of her two cousins, Olivia and Alexa.
