We survived! Last weekend Andy, Quinn, and I decided to venture out into the wilderness. We even had our friends, Nate and Genevieve join us for a night. Thankfully it was perfect weather. The packing involved for this short weekend trip was comical. Overall, it was a fun little trip, however, there were a few moments that we looked at each other wondering what on earth we were thinking. Walking the streets with the sleepless child in the stroller at midnight and the raccoons scratching outside our tent were the two moments that definitely top the list.
Quinn loved her binoculars and carried them everywhere. She did okay with the bathrooms and we brought her little potty to use at the campsite, which she thought was pretty cool...gross. She had her fair dose of s'mores, which were probably one of the factors contributing to her giddiness at 12am the first night. She is 100% girl but by the end of the trip she had finally laid off the hand sanitizer and wipes and was picking up caterpillars for her bucket.
