Quinn has been asserting herself quite a bit these days since Molly arrived. She loves holding her sister and sings made up songs to her and loves giving her paci to her quite forcefully. She continues to keep us on our toes...standing on the front porch in her underwear and then deciding to pee, screaming in her sleeping sister's ear, taking every item of clothing out of her dresser "to find an outfit", emptying the entire band-aid supply and sticking them all over her body, and the list goes on and on. She outs herself by saying that she wasn't doing something when she was. I didn't take something from the store. I wasn't playing during nap... Sometimes we tell ourselves she is lucky she is so cute!
Her favorite made up word: accordinantly. She uses a lot of hand gesturing when she talks with big words too.
Recent names of her dolls: Dominick, KiKi, Dreamy, Megan, Bommy, NeeNee She carries them around in a car seat or rocks them in her arms sshhing them. She has even pretended to be nursing them, which is quite comical. She is very fascinated with that whole process.
Favorite movies: Mary Poppins, Rio, Tangled, and Little Mermaid.
Favorite kid's artists:Jim Gill and Justin Roberts (we are trying to see him at Ravinia this year if it works out)
Recent quotes:
"Mom, I'm in church. Don't touch the stroller, please." (in charge)
"Mom, in Cape Cod we can go to Johnsburg and see Elmo. Won't that be cool. Isn't that a good idea?"
"You look marvelous mom."
"Mom I don't want to 'live' at school again. You can just stay home with me. I don't want you to go back to work or Daddy can just stay home with me." (this broke my heart until two minutes later she said she missed her friends and wanted to go back to school)
"Mom, I'm not doing the potty dance. Can't a girl just dance once in a while?" She is currently on a potty sticker chart because we have been having some challenges. She gets to go to the Dollar Tree for a prize when she fills it up.She is on chart three, so it is working. Thank God!
