Our baby, Molly, has turned 1 year old. I can't believe how time has flown. She has been such a wonderful addition to our family and we can't get enough of her. She is a fearless wild woman, but can also be a content and quiet thinker. She doesn't say much but when she does everyone in the neighborhood can hear her. She speaks her own little language and she sure knows what she is talking about and can be quite intense. She will say consistently: No, yay, and yeah. She likes to make the dog panting sound when she sees dogs and will say, "shhhhhh" after she is being too loud. She will sometimes say "da da" but I am still holding out for ma ma. The closest she gets is "mmmmmm" but that is when she is tasting something she enjoys. The sounds are coming but she has Quinn that does all the talking for her.
STATS:
19lbs 10oz-23%ile-Peanut
34inches-75%ile
Wears 12 month clothes
Size 4 diapers
Size 3 shoes
She has switched to whole milk this week and her tummy isn't liking it. Hopefully things improve.
Favorite foods: crackers, strawberries, bananas, blueberries, and frozen peas
Molly's likes:
- Watching Quinn and is quick to grab her hair or sneak a toy.
- Crawling everywhere and chasing her sister. She can stand on her own and will take steps in between furniture but she isn't a "walker" just yet
- To climb on EVERYTHING, she is often found stuck on the bottom of our chairs or dangling out of her highchair (and yes I do buckle her in)
- Bathtime and splashing water
- Hugging and kissing, she loves nestling her head into our necks when we hold her it is so sweet
- Screeching loudly
- Blowing on hot food
- Sleeping. She has always slept through the night and even with teeth doesn't cry out for us. She will lie right down and sleep through just about anything...until her sister runs in and starts throwing animals and other toys into her crib with her.
- Pulling toilet paper off the roll and putting it into the toilet...she likes to dip her hands in the toilet bowl too
Dislikes:
- Be contained in ANY space, which makes it hard when we want her to be safe and we are trying to get something done
- Baby food because mommy and daddy can't get it in fast enough and she likes to have control and do it herself
- Any bow or headband in her hair
